British-Nigerian singer Tamaraebi follows up his last single “Brown Angel” with this new soul/pop offering titled “Telephone.” The record is a retro-futuristic piece that oozes the 80s with its bright alluring textures and alluring melodic runs reminiscent of bands like Hall & Oates. Tamaraebi really captures the sound of that era with his commanding vocals and evocative lyrics steeped in nostalgia and unrequited love.

For the video, Tamaraebi recruits the help of the director Faith Aylward who helps bring the song to life with her stylish and expressive style. The aesthetics are very bright and colorful and much attention is paid to the styling and set pieces that blend time periods from the 60s through to the 80s.

“Telephone” is taken from his upcoming EP Spectrum.

Tamaraebi ‘Spectrum’ EP:
