Brooklyn Native Suede Jury makes his debut on TWIB with this cinematic piece titled “Slam Magazine 2019.”  Armed with a unique baritone vocal projection, he delivers a gripping performance as he details his life using the game of Basketball as a metaphor. Flanked by the dark, broody pianos and growling electric guitars, the listener is drawn to the urgency behind the track as Jury details every minute elements that make for an exciting NBA pre-game experience.

Brooklyn Native Suede Jury parallels his musical passion with a career as an art director. Jeary Sylves is a youth educator in the arts. Together, the MCs set out to paint a portrait with the two overlapping analogies of art & sports. The resulting sonic image is a collage of black visual artists and sports figures arranged to describe their shared black experience, as an artist who manifested their dreams.
