Seattle-born, Perth-raised, Naarm-based rapper/songwriter Strictly D.T  returns with new heartfelt single “Drift Away” which sees him teaming with soul singer Cle Morgan. Over producer Spell‘s soulful and upbeat bouncy tune, he details how blossoming love is and how he got blinded by it leading to terrible consequences.  Strictly D.T’s velvety smooth flow and vivid storytelling take the cake alongside the soul-laden vocals of Cle Morgan, as their back and forth encapsulate the all too familiar push and pull of rose-coloured glasses.

Since moving to Australia Strictly D.T has supported the likes of Mos Def, Common, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, and has hosted his own B-Boy shows and spoken word nights as well as making an appearance on triple j’s Bars of Steel alongside some of the best established and emerging rappers around Australia. He has received an International Songwriters Competition win endorsed by Ziggy Marley, Lorde, Booker T. Jones and Tom Waits among others and has worked with the likes of veteran DJ Tek, Sydney based producer Ralph Radical.

D.T is also one of the feature MC’s of HALO Vocal Ensemble, a 10-25 choir of Melbourne’s finest singers. The ensemble puts a modern spin on the definition of a choir, bringing a new sound to the masses. HALO’s transcendental performances see the city’s favourite voices gather in one space to perform collaboratively and collectively, with the combined energy and talent permeating ever deeper with each ethereal harmony.
