st.christopher has been making music for artists on the emerging Chicago scene and beyond for several years, producing, mixing and recording for a slew of . Like many creative people he tried to stepped away from the music to focus on other things , but ultimately felt the desire and need to re-commit to the art and make his contribution. st. christopher’s most distinctive element is his versatility, with a diverse array of musical influences range from Golden Era Hip-Hop Classics to 80’s synth-pop to 70’s jazz. But for his first official beat-tape he chose to focus on the soul-sample-soaked hip-hop sound that made him fall in love with this mistress called music in the first place.

The beats on ‘The Black Nerd Beat Tape’ hold a common vibe and structure which helps them fit together as a cohesive unit. The tracks are a mix of brand new creations, dope beats that never found their place with an artist, or tracks that were started but remained on the back-burner and unfinished until recently. But they are all a part of the creative vision of producer who’s voice and perspective are destined to loom large of the landscape of urban music in the coming future.-VIA Bandcamp
