New Zealand artist Sola Rosa returns to TWIB with a brand new soulful cut titled “Shine On” that displays his versatility behind the boards. The track is brimming with soul-gripping vibes and features vocalist  Thandi Phoenix who delivers a solid performance.

Rife with lush and warm keys, funky basslines, and an undeniable groove to tie it all together, “Shine On” truly shines like its title and offers a refreshing and uplifting vibe we can appreciate in these crazy times. Phoenix raises the energy with her honeyed vocals as she proceeds to find her path away from a toxic situation with soul-lifting lines like “I listen and I beam, I know I am Queen, not ever looking back, I’m focused on my path”.

Also, Rosa brings in a cast of instrumentalists such as Mike Booth, Andrew Hall, and Hadyn Godfrey who all handle the horn section while Lewis McCallum plays the flute and guitar duties is held by Jeremy Toy and Dixon Nacey.

Talking about the collaboration, Sola Rosa explains; “Thandi and I initially connected through my music publisher. We ended up collaborating on the upcoming single ‘Something Good’, which also appears on the album. That process and the final result totally blew my expectations of what we could achieve. I was so impressed with the first session that I flew back to Sydney and we recorded ‘Shine On’”.

“Shine On” is taken from his upcoming album, Chasing The Sun, due for release on 25th September.
