Phife has just released his music video for the single “Dear Dilla”!

Phife released his latest single “Dear Dilla” back in January of this year. In celebration of J Dilla month, Phife has just put out an official video for the song “Dear Dilla”. The visuals are light hearted and humorous, it is truly heart warming to watch. The video is packed full of references to J Dilla’s remarkable career, including the landmark albums he produced, and his last live performance. The “Dear Dilla” video was filmed entirely in Detroit and is stuffed with cameos too. It also has cameos from several of J Dilla’s family members, including Ma Dukes, his daughters, and his younger brother Illa J (Yancey Boys). Artist cameos include, Slum Village, DJ Rasta Root, Ali Shaheed Muhammed (A Tribe Called Quest), and Dwele. Phife clearly made sure that the “Dear Dilla” video would be a fitting tribute to J Dilla. Stay tuned to The Word Is Bond for more news about Phife and his upcoming album ‘MUTTYmorPHosis’. For now, press play and enjoy Phife’s “Dear Dilla”!
