I treat most British and American hip-hop collabs with suspicion, as more often than not they come off feeling a little gimicky. But the new Dr. Syntax and Del Tha Funkee Homosapien track makes a mockery of my modest expectations and delivers one of the more interesting songs of the year thus far. I love the trippy psychedelic imagery used in the video which brings the music alive. When it comes to lyricism, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien has been in some of the best form of his career lately and he shows off his skills here effortlessly. It’s also pretty awesome to see him lend some vocals to a grass roots effort from the UK.
