Italo-Japanese songwriter and producer nainami delivers her debut self-produced solo single “cheated out of love” which showcases her unique songwriting and production styles. Released on her own label con amor, nainami is fully charting her own path with a dark-downtempo experimental soul musical style. Bolstered by the melancholic pads, moody textures and sizzling guitar plucks and sparse trap drums, she delivers a soul-gripping performance ripe with detailed and candid lyrics that dwell on withering love in a fledgling relationship and the resulting emotional pain that comes with it. Her vocal style has an airy feel and the usage of pitched-down vocal harmonies adds a unique feel and sublime depth to the track as well.
