Philadelphia native Mil-K comes through with this engaging cut titled Mothership. Not sure if this is off his mixtape, album or what have you but the homie sure gets busy with the pen. A smooth blend of futuristic textures and neck snapping drums make up the soundscape while Mil-k explores socio-political/historical themes garnished with a unique delivery.

This is pretty interesting and goes to show that some cats are still putting in enough thought in this rap game.

“Listen, I bring that fresh water consciousness

save you from the nonsense

extra special operative rescuing the mental hostages

Waking up the dead, take the lid off they sarcophagus…”

Tune in and peep the clip.

The Mothership video from MIL-K is a futuristic insta-classic with spaceships and horses.  There are also political and historical notes and MIL-K is on the rhymes, the beat and the cuts. MIL-K (pronounced “milk”) is a 4th generation Philly rhymer singer producer and instrumentalist with the dual mission of spreading Love and waking up a few generations at the same time
