As Mickey O’Brien prepares to release his third solo album he shares the new single “On Guard” and its’ video. The Fresh Kils‘ produced record is an introspective and insightful piece that explores the concept of fear. The production has a sombre and moody vibe which sets the tone and DJ Versatile‘s vocal scratching chorus also adds life to the track. Mickey takes us deep into his life as he battles his inner demons and his bouts with self-doubt and paranoia. He breaks down his thoughts precisely and takes it frame by frame till he finds his way out of the darkness with his guard up.

The visual also brings life to the track with its simple storyboarding technique and moody cinematic aesthetic.
