Mammal Dap is a four-man band located in Northampton, MA, which started out in 2012 with Rhees Williams (Bass) and Colin Jalbert (drums), adding Zack Cross (keys) and Killan Karisson (guitar) to the equation later to make it the complete band that it is right now. The sole purpose of this band as they say, is to give music fans that soulful and electrified R&B groove, although you can hear that heavy jazz and funk influence also. They have been getting that steady buzz since they started out and I’m pretty sure the sky is the beginning for these guys. I like how these men have put in much to stay true to the sound they set out to create. Probably this is why they have been locked in their lab for the past year and come out strong with this 5 track EP 5lbs High5 for everyone’s listening pleasure. You should check it out but a quick warning: you might get lost in the groove.
