East London duo Makola shares the video for their anthemic track titled “Everyday Legend.” The duo combines Afro-centric elements with rap sensibilities and a whole lot of feel-good energy on this tune.

Backed by a driving groove, lush textures, and triumphant horns, the duo gives the listener a spirit-lifting performance. From the inspiring lyrics and well-crafted anecdotes, the track transports you into a comfort zone laced with vintage aesthetics and positive affirmative energies. The visual captures the duo in several spots in the capital doing their thing.

“Everyday Legend” is ifted from their forthcoming EP due to drop later this year.

Makola uses their Finnish and Ghanaian backgrounds to blend with the sounds of past and present pop culture, creating a unique vibe that works even better live. From their debut gig at Koko in 2016 to main supporting at Bern, Switzerland’s anti-fascism festival No Borders No Nations in front of 10,000, Makola’s reputation for “getting their point across” on stage has always been evident.
