Any doubts I had about Food And Liquor II have been quashed. This is Lupe at his best, raw lyricism you won’t find in anyone or anything else right about now. Backed by a synth beat which sounds like it’d come straight outta Bladerunner chase scene in a kick+subwoofer shop, Lupe’s impeccable flow doesn’t give you any time for any rest. This is full on.
