Laundry Boys is a stoner pop duo formed in the summer of 2020, where two friends took refuge to search for a new musical expression. Their latest effort is the debut EP Yatzy Music Vol. 1 which is led by the focus single “American Confidence”. The track is a sombre and reflective tune ripe with rich guitar riffs, warm pads and smooth grooves underpinned by reflective and somewhat stream-of-consciousness stylings. Lyrics like ” I want that American confidence/ Like I’m the man/Walk up smooth with a compliment You’ll be like damn” is bolstered by the relaxing pitched-down vocal runs and sublime melodies that give the track an emotional depth.

In a nutshell, the record is a play on the self-confidence Americans exude that can be sometimes irritating and overbearing to some.

Yatzy Music Vol. 1 will be released on November 17 and will be followed by “Yatzy Music Vol. 2” later this spring. The EP also contains the previously released singles “Drunk On Love” and “Praise You”, and is the first part in a series of two EPs on the same theme.
