Parasol Pine

Mumbai, India-based German singer/songwriter/DJ Lydia Hendrikje aka L.Y.D. is really pushing the boundaries of music with her genre-fusing approach. Since her 2016 EP release Forget, L.Y.D. has continued to break ground in her own right and now she returns with her new single “Parasol Pine”. The self-produced track has a sombre and somewhat nostalgic aesthetic and captures her unique vocal runs that traverse between whispered melodic runs to commanding inflections. As the title suggests, it’s a sublime piece that aims to soothe the minds of listeners with its heartfelt songwriting and mesmerizing layered harmonies.
