Kiara‘s new single “Blame On Me” is the follow up to her lyrically charged cut “Ape Shyt” and it showcases her sensitive side. The track is produced by her longtime collaborator Producer20 and J Stacks who crafts a solemn piano-laden beat for Kiara to really pour it all out on wax. she does so quite. eloquently as she details the challenges she went through as a teenager in a relationship with an older man who had some skeletons in his closet. Far from seeking sympathy from anyone, Kiara takes it like a trooper and wears the scars like a warrior queen knowing she has moved on to better and greater things.
The video for “Blame it on me” is directed by Timothy Mccallum and Shadrick Walker who bring a very cinematic feel to the song. It follows Kiara and the man in question as their love blossoms and eventually dissipates.
