Known to defy convention and the status quo, Kendrick Lamar defies gravity and continues to fly (literally) in the face of orthodoxy on the new video for ‘Alright’ from his recent epic To Pimp A Butterfly. The monochromatic visuals, directed by Colin Tilley and the Little Homies, are striking (his car being carried down the street by white cops, beautiful cinematography etc.) and are fitting for what is probably my favourite track on the album. Things like this just continue to cement Kendrick’s status as one of the great artists of our generation.
