Singer/songwriter Kaydence first hit my ears on Joell Ortiz’s House slippers LP but it wasn’t when I checked out her solo project “Spoiled Interior” that it really dawned on me how awesomely talented she is.
Spoiled Interior plays like a soundtrack to the life of the young lady, 13 tracks deep with enthralling melodies and varying engaging narratives with a whole lot of gusto. Vocally she effortlessly carries this project with little or no help and any feature is just an added bonus IMO.
Spoiled Interior is definitely worthy of your time so go out and support Kaydence
The definition of Cadence is “a rhythmic flow of a sequence of sounds or words.” While words can have different definitions, Kaydence has already defined her sound. Writing is a form of therapy, and used it to fuel her passion to create music that breeds empathy. Moving to NY at the young age of 19, Kay left all she knew behind, living out of her car for weeks, and crashing with a friend in Columbia University Dorms, all with the intent of getting out her dreams. With the unique ability to write from the perspective of others, Kaydence turned her gift of words into songwriting. Penning verses for artists as a melodic muse for hire.
Kaydence has made great strides to breakthrough the Industry, Singing on Joe Budden’s “No Love Lost” album on a song called “Skeletons” , and recently placed on Joell Ortiz’s album “Houseslippers” on a song called “Better Than” featuring Maino. She has also released a song “2 Bad Bxtches” which was played on mainstream radio station Power 105.1 during the Angie Martinez show on Sept. 24th, 2014. Kaydence is now working on an LP entitled “Spoiled Interior”.
