With the American elections around the corner, public opinions sway from left to right and the entire world is on the edge watching to see how once again the U.S of A plays it out. On the flip side, South Carolina based emcee Jon Oh has some choice words to speak about the polls and politicians. He’s definitely not a fan of all the drama and he doesn’t hold back his thoughts on the song Wishing Well.

Hit the play button and get to hear his opinion on wax.

November 4th is swiftly approaching and people are scrambling trying to figure out which candidate is worthy of their vote. After Obama’s successful 8-year stint, many people would like to see another president take control and duplicate this, if not make it even better. Then you have folks who saw Obama as the Devil’s advocate that ran the country even further than it had been in the ground. Then you have the select few such as Jon Oh who figures it’s all a bunch of BS, and does his best to drive the point home on his new track “Wishing Well”.

Jon Oh! decides to go for easy listening on this one as the beat is a jazz/soul-inspired fusion that floats elegantly in the background as he gives his views on voting, and the upcoming election.

“I’m that slave telling you, eh, don’t get on that boat/you blinded by the diamonds in the ball-n-chains”

The hook for the song is really simple and catchy, yet says so much; a Chinese proverb in a way. After the hook does it’s job of getting lodged in your head, you may want to listen again and again just to make sure you catch all the jewels that are being dropped in this one. Â

“Okay let’s show ’em the plan, just don’t give them the legend/make it sound good with the 1st, cancel that out with the 2nd

This gem will also be included on Jon Oh’s Your Favorite Black Guy album which is set to release late fall. This song really balances out and gives a good feel of what to expect according to Jon Oh who says a video may also be in the works. With everyone rushing out to cast their ballots I’m sure some very interesting footage can be caught!
