Near the end of the second quarter of the NBA finals, this TV add (shown above) appeared which features Jay-Z, Timbaland, hiphop legend (& 99 Problems star) Rick Rubin, Swizz Beatz, & Pharrell Williams working on what’s supposed to be Jay-Z’s new album! Now for starters, this three minute promo came as a surprise to all that was watching, and I don’t think anyone was ready to hear about this new release… yet. Towards the end of the video, the Samsung tagline appears “The Next Big Thing!” across the screen.

Now here are the details: If you have heard about the $20 million dollar deal that Mr. Carter signed with Samsung, then here’s one of the projects that’s taking effect now. The album is scheduled for release on Independence Day (July 4th), and already Samsung has bought one million of Jay-Z’s coming album, entitled Magna Carta Holy Grail, at $5 apiece, which gives Jay-Z already $5 million in advance before the actual album is released (WHOA)! With this deal, Samsung will be giving away the album to all of its users of the Galaxy S III, Galaxy S 4, and Galaxy Note II… three days before its release date. How? The users of the aforementioned phones will be receiving the music through an app they will get on June 24th.
