“The Music of Labtekwon defies all convention and every album he has released challenges listeners to go further outside of the box. From fusion of Skatepunk, Afrobeat, Jazz, Funk and the pioneering efforts with the 410 Pharaohs on the first Baltimore Club Music/ Hip Hop hybrid album: 410 Funk, Labtekwon has the most diverse catalog of music in the field of Emceeing.”

I contacted Lab as a big fan of his music. With 40 albums on his own label and 24 solo albums in total. Lab is one of the most consistent underground emcee’s in hip-hop. After agreeing to do an interview, Lab sent me back four videos which fans and critics are sure to love. This is part one were Lab discusses growing up in Baltimore.
