The Helsinki-Cotonou Ensemble team up with Zimbabwean rapper Synik for smooth live jazz, hip-hop collaboration that bridges the gap of different countries, genres, and backgrounds.

Bolstered by the band’s rousing and upbeat backdrop, Lisbon-based Synik gets the chance to tell a story of his journey from the motherland to where he is now. He delivers an impassioned performance and with vivid details take the listener deep into his mind frame. The track is pretty awesome and the fusion of modern conscious rap with classic jazz instrumentation is perfectly done.
