Underground rapper Grizzy Hendrix breaks the silence with the release of two new songs from his stash.
The first cut, “WEMBY,” is an aspirational anthem after heartbreak and loss and finds Hendrix getting into a flow state after his past experiences. Against a slick soundscape featuring lush textures and punchy drum grooves, he pours his heart on wax with engaging lyricism and vivid storytelling.
The second track, “BE QUIET,” is a showcase of bravado and discretion as Hendrix not only embodies the mantle of the best rapper but also the sensibility of a man on a laser-focused mission. He displays a knack for off-kilter flows, internal rhyme schemes and well-crafted songwriting ability, and he feels underappreciated for it all.
