The Black God Pantheon have just released the music video for “The Trap”, directed by No Idea’s Original, is a swaggering, funky, full-scale assault of a mission statement, heralding arrival of their forthcoming debut EP.

The BPG Collective is a band of based and native NYC musicians who make poetic, tempestuous, vibrant hip-hop & soul music about being black, thoughtful and fly in a peculiar day and age.

As well being savvy songwriters and performers, each member of the BGP (Kita PBbStarDAshleigh AwusieREAL iSHmAelMonotonePrecious Gorgeous!, and front man, Crimdella) are all poly-hyphenates, each skilled other disciplines including Shakespearean acting, sequential art, activism, and most members were or are professional youth workers.

It’s been tough to find a home to submit our work that could really appreciate our point of view and aesthetic, our off-kilter mixture of righteousness and ratchetness. But over at “Word is Bond” ya’ll seem to have that balance down, and care about contributing to the culture.

The Pantheon is pleased to meet you.

@BPG: Thanks for the good words, keep in touch with that goodness, and much power to the Pantheon.
