Brooklyn born Queens raised emcee Ghost Da Lyrical is unsigned but definitely not sitting around waiting for a handout as he steps into the game with raw lyricism and the work ethic of a veteran looking for a second break. His latest venture, “Straight Up” is a laidback but hard-hitting tune which sees him teaming up with producer ProducerTrentTaylor, as the duo also dropped the collaborative project Taylor Made Ghost.
“Straight Up” has that classic NY bounce, complete with gritty textures, punchy boom-bap grooves and vivid lyricism from an emcee who is cut from the fabric of true hip-hop. Armed with an elegant and commanding flow, Ghost Da Lyrical comes through with an unbridled flow and edgy storytelling that drops listeners right in the mix of things. The result is an unapologetic cut that reminds us of the essence of rap in its truest form.
Taylor Made Ghost is a 7-track project by Ghost Da Lyrical, which is produced entirely by ProducerTrentTaylor (who has also laced tracks/albums for Murs, Fashawn, Lando Chill). Listen to Taylor Made Ghost:
