Baltimore hip-hop collective GAWDS ( Going At Whoever Don’t Surrender)  is a 4-man rap group, comprising emcees Pinpoint & Regulus, R&B artist L3 and DJ Rocky Styles. After building a name for themselves as solo acts in the Baltimore music scene, joining forces was a no-brainer and serves as an avenue to rebrand themselves. Their latest single, “Oh No,” is a hard-hitting piece that serves as the tip of the iceberg for the quartet as they also unveil their new album, The Care Package.

The album, however, packs a variety of sounds besides the expected traditional hardcore boombap and highlights their versatility. From L3’s rich melodic style to the no-holds-barred braggadocio/insightful bars from Regulus and Pinpoint, and excellent scratching from DJ Rocky Styles, listeners will be enthralled by the variety of tracks on the album. Examples include the unapologetic “Katt Williams”, or the life lessons shared on “Catastrophe” or the solemn “Smoke In The Sky.”
