Get It (Weapon Of Mass Creation)

The late Calgary-based musician Fly Trap was working on a musical project before he tragically passed away. However, his legacy lives on as his musician friends have carried on his work and have come together to finish the project. The new track “Get It (Weapon Of Mass Creation)” serves as a preview of what to expect and highlights Fly Trap’s musical versatility. The record has a modern funk/soul/contemporary pop-infused vibe and features singer Sammy Jean, who delivers a resounding performance with her unique vocal styling and use of insightful lyrics.

Back in March 2023, Calgary music scene staple Marvin “The Fly” Kee sadly died just days after performing at JUNOfest with Sargeant X Comrade, one of the many projects (including the High Rollers, the Ex-Boyfriends, the Torchettes, Deicha & the Vududes, La Mosca and more) he was involved in over multiple decades in the industry.
