Sydney, Australia-based rapper/lawyer Charlie de’ Medici caught our ears with his new single “One More” which showcases his vivid rhyme schemes and commanding flow. He makes use of a soulful backdrop made up of lush textures and sultry melodic vocal samples laced over punchy drum breaks.

“One More” is the closing track on Charlie de’ Medici’s second classical hip hop/boom bap-inspired album, Poolside with Mr. Medici.

Poolside with Mr. Medici. is a concept album that documents an imagined Italian holiday, and it’s based upon the critically acclaimed photography collection, ‘Poolside with Slim Aarons’. It was written by Charlie de’ Medici during Sydney’s intense winter COVID-19 lockdown, as he turned to the book – which documented the high-life of European jet setters in the 1950s – as a way to escape the reality of being cooped up inside.
