Emerging rapper Brii Creatiive‘s newest release “Queen Shit” is a bold statement of empowerment and self-worth. With a lot of posturing going on in hip-hop these days, Brii has decided to go a more wholesome route with her music and bring a more engaging and uplifting product to the masses. Over a somber and smooth backdrop, she delivers a solid performance ripe with evocative and empowering lyrics aimed to lift up all the women out there putting in work in the male-dominated sphere. Using her own experiences and using her mother and grandmother as role models, she gives her own take on self-love, value, and femininity.

The visual is engaging as well and captures her in her element. The visual makes use of smooth cut scenes and performance shots of Brii and also features her mother who raised her, my grandmother, and my younger sister, thus bringing together 3 generations of queens to reinforce the message being passed on.
