I read a pretty interesting comment on FaceBook the other day about hiphop: “I dont wanna hear an old man talking about life is good.” But wait, why not?

This is the side of hiphop that so many listeners choose to skip over on a full length album. Everybody can get down to hardcore hiphop over a catchy beat that might feature Wayne and will probably hit the radio every 5 minutes for half a year, yeah why not. It’s easier to hold on and compare stories that make your struggles seem a little less intense. However, there is the brighter (and just as important) side of hiphop that sheds a bit a hope and positivity and finding the connection in that is what makes a true hiphop fan.

With all that being said, here is Blu & Exile’s new track A Man, off their new EP Maybe One Day, available now. This track will also be featured on their full-length album, Give Me My Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them dropping September 4th. Quite the enlightening track here. Enjoy.
