Big Brody Ode (formerly known as Capital Ode) unveils the perfect lunchroom cypher in the form of his newest release, “Lost & Found.” The track is a bare-bones, lyric-driven piece that brings together a host of emcees. This ranges from Dojo Fam, Ish Amir, Marc B. The God, Neo Huxtable, Mouse Sucks, DFB, and Rayna Storm for an informal lyrical showcase. The cool part is how the cypher was constructed to capture the randomness of real cyphers, and we hear Big Brody Ole unable to start as he searches for his book of rhymes; hence, his cohorts set things off, and eventually the book was found in the, yes, you guessed it, the lost and found.
Overall, this is an interesting cut that pays homage to classic rhyme cyphers and the power of unity amongst rap peers.
The original version of “Lost & Found” was a bonus track on Big Brody Ode and Drum Fu’s 2015 mixtape PerfectHairForever.
