After dropping the Cashius Green assisted “Free My Mind“, the duo consisting of emcee Allen Poe and producer Beatnick Dee finally drop their collaborative EP “Composure”. The EP is a 7 track body of work that fully encapsulates some sort of transition period for Allen Poe and also serves as a follow up to Nick’s debut “Creative Medicine”.
At just 21 minutes long, the EP makes up with dense material for what it lacks in length. Built over stunning, dynamic soundscapes courtesy of Beatnick, Allen Poe switches into a very contemplative persona for most of this project but also keeps it light to balance things. Not the type to hug the limelight, the duo also bring in guests such as Cashius Green FKA Co$$ (he’s on 2 joints), Deacon The Villain of CunninLynguists, Versailles The Everything and Kem Kola.
“Composure” is out on Netherlands based label Below System Records. A limited run of cassette tapes are also available for this release.
