Denizo – a member of Jazz Gangsters – offers us some “strange things” in a new release on the Lucky Time label.
A couple of months ago, Jazz Gangsters published a debut nu-jazz and hip-hop album entitled “Golden Jazzyland.” During the recording of that album it was impossible to predict how much things would spin out of control – and turn into a collection of broken, dope beats. Maybe that’s because Denizo also works as a techno producer. Not long ago, in fact, he published 12″ some fearsome German techno on Shaded Records. When asked about the recording process for this newer, even more adventurous release, Denizo explained how he had used random sounds taken from a radio set. “I simply twiddled the knobs, changing stations and recording the result. That’s how we ended up with such ‘strange things.’
WIB UP ON THAT STRANGE!!
