The warm up to what should be a hell of an release. Apathy and Celph Titled, who are no strangers to the underground Hip Hop scene and have worked together before, drop the track ‘School For Scoundrels’, the first single form the upcoming compilation from Coalmine Records titled ‘Unearthed’. On an old school cut from producer Ayatollah complete with scratches, the duo drop some nice bars. Make sure you look at the feature list for the compilation, due out early next year – it should be fire.

WIth school doors reopening this week, Apathy and long time collaborator Celph Titled join forces once again, this time for the Ayatollah produced “School For Scoundrels.” Joining the alliance is DJ Dutchmaster who provides the intro, scratch hook and outro cuts. “School For Scoundrels” is also set to appear on the highly anticipated Coalmine Records’ compilation album Unearthed, which is scheduled for an early second quarter release, 2013. Unearthed will feature guest appearances from the likes of Pharoahe Monch, Royce da 5’9″, Blu, Large Professor, Kool G Rap, Sean Price, Rock (of Heltah Skeltah) Artifacts, Diamond D, Skillz, Torae and more. Producers tapped include Nottz, M-Phazes, !llmind, Khrysis, Young Cee, Ayatollah and BeanOne, among others.

  1. dunno if you guys seen but apathy’s not pleased. what do you guys think?

msg from his facebook (does not necessarily reflect the views of WIB and its writers):
ATTN: Apathy, Celph & Demigodz fans, please DO NOT support, purchase or show any love to the song “School For Scoundrels”. We do NOT condone, support or show love to this song.

This is a song we recorded in 2007 for Coal Mine Records, for a kid named Matt Diamond. The beat is dope. Celph and I have dope raps on it… that’s not my issue with it.
I had no idea this guy was going to sit on the song for 6 something years, or I wouldn’t have done it in the first place. When music isn’t fresh and new it personally bothers me as an artist. I like to give you guys the freshest shit possible. If it’s something old, that’s FINE… but at least indicate that it’s old and let the FANS KNOW it’s old. I dont want to try to sell you guys week old donuts and pass them off as a fresh batch. Understand?
I NEVER WANTED THE SONG TAKEN DOWN OR STOPPED, I just wanted this guy who put out the song to be FAIR TO THE FANS and let them know it’s old. He didn’t. When I let it be known, he started writing me emails accusing me of “emailing and hitting up every blogger”, which is bullshit. This dude is a straight fuckin sucker bottom line.

THEN he goes on twitter and writes the following:
@coalminerecords: Rappers wanna get paid to rap and then act like bitches when their music drops. Wonder why dude’s livin check to check http://bit.ly/miZLUk (the link is to my song “Check To Check”).

This dude is a disrespectful, bitch ass dude. Please do not support ANYTHING he drops.

    Thanks-Ap

  2. another message from Apathy:
