Genre-bending Australia-based hip-hop artist Ankur delivers the visuals for his new single “Roots”, the heartfelt song sees him musing on the effects of endless self-comparison and seeking external validation instead of being content. The Rich Mammolitti-produced record is made up of a lush guitar riff and pop-infused drum grooves which stray from what one might expect from a rap record, regardless Ankur stays true to himself and gives listeners an evocative performance. His lyrics are insightful and relatable and his flow is impassioned as well. Joining him on the record is singer Bronte Kolbe who adds a gripping melodic touch to it.
