Montreal-based singer-songwriter ANJXLXE‘s new R&B single “Can we” is a love ballad produced by Kevin-Dave (Alton Mason, Kallitechnis) and Lucas Liberatore (Sara Diamond, Benita, Lili-Ann De Francesco), and co-written with Mel Pacifico (Fredy V and the Foundation, Busty and the Bass). The record is as sublime and hypnotic as they come and it’s made up of pulsating moody synths, punchy drums and soulful textures all underpinned by ANJXLXE’s commanding and sultry vocal runs. She pours her all on wax and shares adulations about her partner and details the dynamics of true love and all the little things that help make it timeless and fulfilling.
She adds that the track “… will make you daydream about a date night on the beach at a golden hour where time is just an illusion”.
