Brooklyn emcee Al Unique shares the video for his song “Shea Butter (Drown In You)” which showcases his versatile lyricism. Over a somber soulful backdrop, he pours undiluted adulations on the beauty of black women across the globe. He doesn’t hold back in his assessment and paints vivid pictures of the enticing attributes of the woman that caught his eye.

The visual was shot by Al’s close friend’s photographer Jean-Andre Antoine and artist/videographer Ashleigh Alexandria who really raise the stakes with surrealism and moody aesthetics. It follows Al as a cab driver chauffeuring some ladies and switches into a dream-like sequence filled with different short-cut scenes and performance shots.

Al Unique is a former member of the Florida crew, Team Prolific and Swag N Substance is his debut release as a solo emcee. Find more of his music here.
