Emerging rapper BFAULT is hands-on with his music and has worked in both music and film productions, and on his solo effort, he strives to portray his true self. His latest release, “Backyard,” is a self-produced, reflective track that explores childhood memories, experiences and the characters who shaped him. Over a soulful guitar-driven backdrop, the rapper delivers vivid lyricism with a commanding voice and lines like
“I had Bruises on my body
Didn’t care about the scars
Dreaming I could take my bike
Way up to the stars
Never thought of danger
And I never felt the pain
Now I look back knowing
It could never be the same”
which underscores his storytelling skills. The track is taken from his concept album, BACKMIND.
