North Manchester Trip Hop duo, Digging for Kanky, are currently preparing for their debut album, Raining Stones, but in the interim, they share the new single “Send Me Away.” Backed by a looming soundscape comprising gloomy textures, solemn synths and a sparse arrangement that creates depth as the vocals rise to a crescendo. The raps evoke raw emotions and reflection, and the use of wordplay and literary motifs adds that extra punch as lines like  “And I’m high as a bird of prey,/On the rainiest of days,/Let us walk into the maze, Distant blue eyed gaze,Dilated glazed,Send me away,” hit the ears. The raw melodic voice complements this with a soul-stirring feel that fully captures the lonesome and withdrawn feeling.
