Amsterdam-based pianist/music producer Colombo caught our ears with his style of lofi instrumentation. He blends Jazz and lofi hip-hop elements with contemporary sounds to create soul-stirring ambiances.
The first cut “Timeless Time” is a mellow lofi-jazz piece punctuated by sublime piano arrangements, soothing pads, and pulsating bass-driven grooves with plucky and bright textures to match.
The second track “Beat Residue” continues in a similar vein as Colombo shows how far he can push the musical envelope. Anchored on his piano playing prowess and love for boom bap, he crafts a smooth head-nodding piece ripe with atmospheric keys, ethereal pads and a solid drum groove to create a solid jam.
