Back in May, ?uestLove started leaking on Twitter some real ill instrumentals, that got everyone scratching their heads. The tracks where basically a live instrumentation version of J Dilla’s classics, the Roots way…a month later (April 2010), ?uestLove picked up on the hype and decided to put all these tracks together in one Free EP, and the result….is this right here, “Dilla Joints”.
A very soulfull album, that you can play from top to bottom without ever skipping once. A nice tribute by The Roots to one of the most iconic beatmakers of our generation.
