I must admit I never heard of Boog Brown before this mixtape dropped on February 2010.
On the “The Grind Season Vol.1”..Boog drops tight and intricate lyrics, delivered with a whole lot of passion, dope flows and an almost defiant tone, that tone that reads “Better recognise”. After listening to “The Grind Season” we where happy to have found a female MC that was equally as good or better than her male counter parts….Boog Brown has shot up to be one of our favourite female MC’s out at the moment.
The Grind Season it’s real well put together, with production by Illastrate, Lex Boogie & 14KT.
Since this…Boog has shot up in popularity and went on to feature on J-Live’s “The Way I Rhyme” and released her first official album “The Brown Study” produced by Apollo Brown. Which we highly recommend.
