Zaena & Jason Maek takes us back to their childhood on their newest release “Get You Right”. The genre-bending track has a vibrant, fun-filled vibe and showcases the duo’s unorthodox styles that blend pop, house, hip-hop and everything within. The duo shares stories of attending weekend dance parties at landmarks like ‘The Rink’, catching the redline, and features clips of the first Harold’s Chicken restaurant. The video also pays homage to the Chicago rooted dance trend called ‘foot working’.

The visual was directed by Jason Maek goes beyond the memories and good times but also tackles real-time issues from police brutality, the current political climate, to student debt. Zaena, a Libyan refugee, also compares life in her homeland to her experience in America with the line, “Our countries are like day and night, some nights I don’t belong here. We both suffer from gang fights. F**k people because they don’t care.”

BIO: Zaena x Jason Maek have become one of the fastest rising music duos. Their signature sound mixes hip-hop, dance, and pop into a chart-topping sound that spawned hits like the upcoming single ‘Get To Work’. Bending the boundaries of mainstream music, their productions delicately blend a very unique skillset of harmonic vocals and hard-hitting rap lyrics. The Lybia born vocalists and Chiago native rapper put egos aside to create a sound that is refreshing in the current state of music.
