Uprising rapper YTN Tee is the newest act making waves in the UK rap scene as he brings a refreshing angle to the forefront with his playful flow and engaging lyricism and songwriting. Since he started writing his songs at 15, he developed a distinct style steeped in reality and personal experiences with a touch of humour and wit to match. On his latest effort titled “LIGHTSABER”, he connects with producer AyP who laces the rapper with a smooth piano-driven instrumental with sparsely arranged drum grooves. Here, YTN Tee embodies the spirit of a player having fun and living his life to the fullest. His charismatic demeanour shines through as he playfully weaves vivid and engaging scenarios of his numerous shenanigans on wax. Lines like “She look bad, dressed all in black like Darth Vader/ It’s not by force, I just give her da lightsaber/ Ask my ski by next week we’ll have da hot grubba/Got my ears to the streets stuck like hubbabubba” captures his love for Star Wars, women and the never-ending grind that he is fully committed to.
