The Mountain

Back Seat Driver is a genre-fluid band composed of singer Dara,  Keyboardist Sam, Bassist Gil and Harland on drums. The band was forged in 2023 and is still going on strong as they drop the in-studio performance of their latest single “The Mountain.” The track is a rousing and soul-stirring piece that explores human tenacity during rough patches. Blending rich modern soul elements with a contemporary aesthetic, they deliver a resounding and insightful track underpinned by relatable songwriting, sublime melodic runs and dynamic instrumentation.

The band summarized the core tenet of the song as follows “This song came together for us really quickly. The idea centers around the idea that everyone faces mountains in their life that will come down when we believe in ourselves. It’s our anthem of courage and strength.”
