Emerging singer/songwriter Véyah was born in Hyderabad India but raised in NYC. She grew up surrounded by music and singing along to all of the South Indian and Bollywood classics and contemporary music as well. During the height of the pandemic and global lockdown, she garnered a buzz on TikTok with her incredible renditions of popular South Asian songs and Hindi classics. She then started to make covers of contemporary pop and R&B songs, often going live on TikTok whilst studying at the same time. Her covers eventually were noticed by veteran South Asian singer Jay Sean who wasted no time in introducing her to The Heavy Group (Bazzi, Kiana Ledé etc) who signed her immediately.

Now the young singer shares her debut single “Almost” under Snafu Records. The record is a superb blend of pop and R&B and showcases Véyah’s wide vocal range as she gets to flex her vocals over Jeremy Skaller‘s soothing and solemn backdrop laid before her. Teaming up with a handful of seasoned writers with Véyah also adding her input, the song dwells on taking precautions before jumping headfirst into a relationship.

Véyah is set to perform in a few weeks’ time with Jay Sean in Times Square, NYC, for Divali.
