Indie band TriOrca thrill us with their new release titled “Missing”. An emotional piece backed by ethereal textures and angelic melodies from frontwoman Whitney Mye who drives the track with her gripping performance. The track dives deep into the search for that unknown thing you might be missing with its beautiful soundscape and engulfing ambiance. “Missing” which is the title track of their debut album was the last song to be written for the band’s debut album.
The Transatlantic band based in LA is made up of multi-instrumentalist and producer Phil Simmonds, drummer and producer David Diaz and writer/vocalist Whitney Myer. Combining their unique sense of rhythm and melody, and borrowing a dash of soul from a generation past, TriOrca channel nostalgia into a sleek modern package.
Individually, each member of TriOrca has built the kind of musical resume that raises the right sort of eyebrows. Collectively, TriOrca have ticked every conceivable live performance box. Toured the world with Jessie J? Phil did that. Duet with Sam Henshaw at his Capital records/Jammcard show? Whitney did that. Lay down live drums for Eryn Allen Kane’s “A Tree Planted by water” David did that. While Phil produced and Co-wrote the record in it’s entirety. And while that was happening, Whitney was in another studio, laying down vocals for Empire of the Sun.
