Hardworking rapper JRoberts is ready to take out the naysayers and break through the never ending obstacles in the aptly titled track “Shot Down” featuring fellow rapper Ren Thomas. Bolstered by a moody and menacing piano-driven backdrop, both emcees cut to the chase with raw, unfiltered bars laced with darts for the unsuspecting foes.
Tru Bludd – “STRENGTH”
Australian raper/songwriter Tru Bludd shows true resilience and grit in his latest track “STRENGTH”. The heartfelt and reflective tune explores themes ranging from trials, tribulations, self-identity, purpose and national pride to some degree.
Romy Dya – “Grow”
Romy Dya sings “When we face the dark, we learn to grow” in her newest track “Grow” and gives listeners a glimpse into her ongoing journey to inner peace and clarity. Inspired by her experiences and teachings of the Kabbalah, Dya takes listeners along as she goes through the require phases that lead to eternal change. The track’s backdrop, produed by Jimmy Moon is a mix of modern neo soul with hip-hop elements and sees Dya fusing sultry melodies with a rap-driven performance which lends credence to her versatility as an artist.
tha Joint – “Disciples”
Tha Joint, hip-hop duo comprising of Joey Golden and Jonathan UniteUs unveil their latest tune “Disciples.” The track has a lofi-modern jazz vibe and sees both emcees exploring themes ranging from growth, integrity with a dash of bravado.
Versis747 – “RISE”
Bronx-raised rapper/producer Versis747 drops “RISE,” an anthemic tune that sees him detailing his journey in this game of life. The production has a modern cinematic feel with triumphant horn-like synths, sparse punchy drums and moody textures to match.
LIJE – “Pharaoh Talk”
Milwaukee born rapper LIJE gives audiences a deep dive into what makes him tick in his latest track “Pharaoh Talk.” Here, he uses a bass-heavy, filtered vocal sample-driven beat as his canvas. He then proceeds to paint a vivid picture of his trajectory a she weaves through life.
m1L – “Make Way”
m1L delivers a solid banger in the form of his new release “Make Way.” The track brims with off-kilter lyricism laced over bass-heavy drum grooves and plucky synths.
Lousid – “Common Struggles”
Lousid share “Common Struggles” in their latest release. Backed by a soulful vocal-sample driven backdrop, the duo reflect on the ups and downs of life.
Mike Quill – “Love Pride”
UK rapper/songwriter Mike Quill delievrs this heartfelt tune “Love Pride,” which sees him teaming up with nikmoody and producer Blvff. The track samples a classic Sade track and the result is a warm, soulful piece that shows the duo’s vulnerabilities and how they traverse the pitfalls of falling in love. The song is taken from the recently released project POPCORN.

Jones enters our playlist with “Twenty,” a chilled guitar-laden neo-soul ballad that brims with heartfelt songwriting.

Ha$an takes us into the dark crevices of his mind in “Ghost.” Backed by a bouncy and anthemic soundscape, the rapper shares his deepest thoughts on the current state of affairs with a dash of bravado.

Static Black takes us on an apsirational journey in his latest release “Outside.” Over a soulful and ethereal backdrop, he looks at the trials and tribulations of the everyday man trying to achieve their goals in an unforgiving world.
La NOIRE – “La Dolce Vita”
Emerging South London artist La NOIRE returns to our playlist with his new release “La Dolce Vita.” The Latin guitar-driven track is underpinned by vivid storytelling and a smooth melodic performance.

Canadian rapper/singer/songwriter SagetheGoddess shows us what it feels to be a “Superstar” in their latest record. The R&B/soul/hip-hop infused track is underpinned by soul-stirring melodies, heartfelt lyrics that center on self-belief and good vibes.

DZUMK x 6tro – “Immer noch”
DZUMK and 6tro are two German artists who caught our attention with their new release “Immer noch”. The title means “Still” in English and explores life from two perspectives. One from what has changed and other from what has not and sees both rappers taking stock of life and their ongoing journey.
Saint Metri – “Beautiful Mess”
Brooklyn,NY-raised artist Saint Metri gives us a taste of her multi-genre influences in “Beautiful Mess.” The production is quite serviceable and has a moody feel that somewhat blends with her whispered vocals
Sister Stone – “Upside Down”
Detroit-based rapper/songwriter Sister Stone delivers a heartfelt and inisghtful tune “Upside Down” that is much needed in these crazy times. Over a mellow and solemn backdrop, she looks at how life is never straight but rather a rollercoaster of experiences that nurture and help us grow into what we need to be. Her rap verses are profound and have a poetic feel while the sultry chorus adds that extra emotional weight to the track.
Sofia Eleni – “Baby Please”
NY singer/songwriter Sofia Eleni helps close this week’s playlist with her 90s inspired pop tune titled “Baby Please.” The track brims with a summer-tinged retro soundscape with plucky keys, warm pads and a smooth bounce underpinned by her rich vocal runs. She cheekily reminds a potential lover of their wrongdoing and lets them know there is no coming back from their actions.
