Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 10 Videos. This is a segment where we look at some exceptional visuals from various acts around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades, through the 90s and 2000s, and it has taken flight from multi-million dollar budget music videos to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but highlight some creative visuals on our radar.
Again, we promise to bring you the best, from high- to low-budget, animated to DIY, and, first and foremost, the most creative visuals we can source.

NMDA caught our attention with “Hypnotic.” The aptly titled track is a blend of contemporary soul with pop and future elements. From the plucky guitars, fuzzy synths, head nodding grooves and prevalent drums and mellow keys, the track really raises the ante

Flapjaques and Ezweb‘s “april clouds” is a blissful and uplifting track that evokes the aftermath of a short rain and the clouds slowly clearing up. The flutes, sounds of nature, punchy drums and airy keys all come together like white on rice.

 

Johnboybeats & Plon B. – “JAz Z”.

Johnboybeats and Plon B go against the norm with “JAz Z,” a mellow lofi soul/jazz infused piece with experimental elements. From the sparse drums, airy jazz passes, mellow keys and dusty basslines and percussions, the duo bring something refreshing and different to the table.

“farewell, my friend” is a solemn and tear-jerking piece from Portugal-based producer lost tapes. Using the guitar as the main instrument, they craft a blend of rich licks with underlying keys and solemn strings to match.

 

 

Jonny Alias – “Flowers of the woods”

 

Danish producer Jonny Alias walks us through the “Flowers of the woods” with his latest output. The track is cinematic, ethereal and suspenseful all at once. The arrangement is enthralling and builds up slow as well.

Producer Chill4est returns to our playlist with “Time,” a sublime and playful piece that captures the eternal blissful moments of this thing called life. Time is ephemeral but our memories will always be with us.

“Waiting for Changes” is a collaborative effort from musicians moat, jaspurrr and Northern Drift. The laidback piece evokes nostalgia and memories of the past with its dynamic piano arrangement, scenic pads and soft grooves.

German producer lofi sheep helps seal this week’s instrumental playlist with “Green Lofi Dreams,” a smooth piano-driven piece with bouncy drums and refletcive tones.
