Welcome to the month of July and in usual fashion, we roll out the cream of the crop for the first week. Check them out below and do let them know how dope they are.

Lavelle Oloye – Ride Or Die

Lavelle Oloye is an upcoming producer & artist(rapper, singer) from Philadelphia, USA. Lavelle is a secluded and isolative individual who creatively reflects his thoughts through his music. For example his debut song “Ride Or Die”, defines creativity at its finest, even though the track is 1 minute long. Crazy right!! But he tackles the reality of a young college student, growing up in a society where everyone tries to be perceived as normal. Lavelle would like for others to view his world as he sees it!

Ride Or Die visually takes you into a 1 minute day dream of a young secluded college student who gazes thoughtfully about the girl of his dreams.

NDPNDNT – “Free Me”

NDPNDNT is a 22 year old, bi-racial, up and coming Chicago rapper, singer/songwriter, and actor that focuses on creating positive music that the world can enjoy, look upon for guidance and leadership, and depend on as a voice in struggling communities. July 1, 2017, NDPNDNT had his first single, “Free Me”, released on Soundcloud, and premiered on hot Chicago blog, “Lyrical Lemonade”, off his up and coming project, “Voiceless”. Today, July 6, 2017, Phili music blog, “The Plug Society”, featured the single as well. “Free Me” focuses on the freedom of colorism, or destroying the segregation of light skin vs. dark skin within the black community, and how important it is to keep each other united.  The song traces memories of early slavery and compares them to how we enslave each other with stereotypes in today’s society and generation.

Aaliyah Nicole – My Little Secret

Aaliyah Nicole releases her first single from her July 18th debut EP, “Journal Entries of The Payoff!” This sexy song, My Little Secret was written and performed by Aaliyah Nicole and produced by her cousin RellontheTrack.

Hyphen – Lost
Hyphen’s new single “Lost” is a brass-laden fusion of soul, electronica, and hip-hop with massive appeal. “I wrote this song on late on a Saturday night after (reluctantly) saying no to go to a mini reunion my school friends were having,” the London-based Hyphen explains. “Trying to manage a full time job and music career simultaneously means cutting out on something, and for me that involves being a lot less social and very (very) single.”

Ezkiel – West End

Check out Ezkiel’s thoughtful, moody tune “West End” that works as the soundtrack to both your drive around town and your late-night rendezvous.
